Steve Cooper graduated from Occidental College in 2003 with a BA in Politics and Economics.  He began his career in the investment industry with The Capital Group in 2008 as a trade compliance analyst, ensuring that investment portfolios of high net worth clients were aligned with their tax and legal needs.  In 2011, Mr. Cooper was licensed as a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones and began managing client investments.  Over his three years with the firm, he grew assets under management in the Beverly Hills branch by more than 285%.  In 2013 he earned the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, which is the most highly respected professional designation in the investment industry.  In 2014 Mr. Cooper was recruited to UBS Financial Services, Inc. as a Portfolio Manager and Financial Advisor.  However, he left the brokerage industry in 2017 to work in a strictly fiduciary capacity.  In 2019, Mr. Cooper launched Dew Point Capital, Inc as a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) to fully implement his vision of financial planning and investment management services.

Steve serves his community as a Board Director and Chair of the Investment Committee for Heart of Los Angeles (HOLA).  HOLA provides academic, music, art, and athletic programs for over 2,300 kids per year at their Rampart campus.  Steve also volunteers as a Guardian of the Los Angeles Jewish Home for the Aging, raising money for the largest nonprofit provider of senior housing services in Los Angeles County.
